5 Common Mistakes Persian Learners Make (and How to Avoid Them)
Since I started teaching Persian in 2022, I have noticed the same small mistakes coming up again and again. They are completely normal, but they can slow down your progress if you do not identify them clearly. So I have gathered the 5 mistakes I encounter most often.
My Experience
I started teaching Persian in 2022, first with just a handful of students, then gradually on a larger scale, both online and in person. Since then, I have worked with more than one hundred learners from a wide range of backgrounds and taught over 3,000 hours of lessons. Every student has helped me refine my teaching, better understand the specific challenges of learning Persian, and develop a clear, structured approach that adapts to different goals, learning styles, and paces. Today, Farsi Khuneh is the result of that experience: a place built on practice, curiosity, and the joy of sharing knowledge.

Ali is really a great teacher. His classes are dynamic and you don’t notice the time passing. He is passionate about the Persian language, and it shows. Ali is super knowledgeable about the Persian language. I am a very curious person so I often wish to understand what the roots of words, or their relationships to other words are. Ali consistently is able to give me a comprehensive understanding of all terms and how they connect. Great teacher and great teaching style! And the lessons are very well organised for me. I have been taking Farsi classes for over 3 months, they are structured, precise, and above all, interesting. I learn a lot in each class!
